I’m sot sure how much longer I can do this shift >< I know I’m just being wussy.  And that I’m sure in time if I start going to bed at a reasonable hour I can adjust. Cause really, I have no choice. I WILL ADAPT.

Let’s talk about my job! So I’ve worked for an American cell phone company call center for the last three years.  Technically I’m a Customer Service Representative.  So i answer inbound calls every day and fix problems. Billing problems, rate plan changes, phone upgrades, tech problems, sms/mms issues, billing disputes,  international,  etc etc. You name it, I deal with it.  But for the last year I’ve been periodically temping a position we call Podium as well.  What Podium does is basically monitor the whole center, all the reps, the call flow, volume, schedule adherence, administrative purposes, reports and so forth. And i love it. I LOVE PODIUM. It’s the leet nook in this center. Where the coders, gamers,  and geeks in general end up. So i’ve been trying for the last year to get hired on full time.  Cause I’m just tired of taking inbound everything but the kitchen sink calls.  Last May, they lost an employee, and a position became available. So i applied! I had three interviews and i was chosen for the position. But then we were hit with a center wide hiring freeze.  This hiring freeze lasted until November in which Podium then loses another employee but there’s a 6 month stupid rule about having to re-post the position. So….. i re-apply. Two days after the position was posted, it’s taken down because the Podium Sup still was not given permission to hire. WHY NOT! BAH!  Corporate bureaucracy i say! So i keep biding my time, temping here, temping there… I usually temp at least once, twice a week, more if someone needs time off.  And Now.. Podium has lost a 3rd employee.  And i’ve been temping mornings the last two weeks non stop to cover the shifts. It’s nice, cause it’s what I want to do. But a position still has not been posted. And I’m getting so frustrated. And I still might not even get it!!! I’ve been carrying my resume around in a folder w/ a application for the day the posting goes up. And after alllllll this build up.  There’s always the chance they may just decide to hire someone else instead. (Which would crush my soul FYI). I mean, taking a job at podium would even be a paycut by 30 cents. But i just want to be Podium sooo bad. SOOO BAD. MUST MAKE IT HAPPEN. CONSTANT VIGILANCE.

 Anyways, that’s enough ranting about my work.
