In which Christine caves on Christmas Memes!

I’ve seen this around everywhere and I’ve been stubbornly avoiding doing it for some silly reason, but i’ve finally caved and decided to do it!
So here we go!
- Wrapping paper or gift bags?
- I’m 50/50. I like to re-use gift bags, (all about the eco-friendly), but somethings are just better wrapped.
- Real tree or Artificial?
- I’ve spent the last 6 Christmas’s in various apartments so I’ve been stuck w/ an artificial tree, but the moment I’m in a situation where i can have a real one! I will, because I love the smell!
- When do you put up the tree?
- December 1st always!
- When do you take the tree down?
- Hmmm… it varies, I left it up till August once. But last year I was good and took it down in Feb I think? This year I’m going to be very good! I swear

- Love it!!!!!1 Alone or with a bit of rum
And speaking of Christmas drinks, I also love hot mulled cider! Yum!

- Favorite gift received as a child?
- My family was never very well off, so we really appreciated everything we were given. I remember one board game I was super stoked on tho called 1313 Dead End Drive. It was a murder mystery game.
- Hardest person to buy for?
- My mother. She never asks for anything, and I never know what to get. I always end up getting the same thing year after year.
- Easiest person to buy for?
- My Andy, he drops heavy hints and then emails a wish list ^^
- Do you have a nativity scene?
- I used to have a cute one where I made the barn out of Popsicle sticks that I painted and cute little figurines, but it’s since been lost to time.
- Mail or email Christmas cards?
- I love old fashioned mail. Christmas cards, both sending and recognizing is one of my favorite parts of Christmas. Especially the Q*bee card exchange!!
- Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
- I don’t really think as gifts as good or bad. The thought behind them is what counts.
- Favorite Christmas Movie?
- I looooveeeee Christmas movies. My all time favorite would be White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. But the Charlie Brown Christmas movie, Santa Clause is coming to Town (narrated by Fred Astaire), The second Home Alone movie and The year without a Santa Clause all get an honorable mention <3!
- When do you start shopping for Christmas?
- I don’t really have a set time. I kinda just keep my eyes open when I go through life and if something jumps out at me, or if i notice something that someone mentioned needing, i’ll pick it up. I’m also a huge crafter, and many of my gifts are hand made. So for crafting, I start in November.

- Heavens no!
- Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
- Mmmm! The whole Christmas dinner in general is yummy. Shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate are also fantastic.
- Lights on the tree?
- Of course! The lights are the best part!
- Favorite Christmas song?
- I love caroling! Every Christmas song is my favorite! Yah… i’ve been sitting here a bit thinking, and yah, i can’t pick a favorite.
- Travel at Christmas or stay home?
- I’m a home body! And my whole family is in the city, so I’ve never had to worry about it.
- Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
- Of course!!! (Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen!!! Oh, and Rudolph^^)
- Angel on the tree top or a star?
- Always a Star!
- Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
- One present on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas morning.
- Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
- People who hate Christmas and spread negativity instead of cheer and people who complain about what the got! Missing the point peoples!!!
- Favorite ornament theme or color?
- I’ve done themes in the past, like red and gold… or blue and silver. But now I just like color and go with everything!
- Favorite memory of Christmas?
- Every Christmas is full of special memories. Is that a cop out? Well… I love driving around and seeing houses decorated to the nines. That’s always a favorite memory.
- What do you want for Christmas this year?

Ohh, I love driving around and seeing decorated houses! It’s not a very popular thing to do here, so it’s nicely novel to find the homes that do participate.
