So for the past few months now I’ve been debating this whole tumblr situation. Sometimes I find my self resistant to change, but after caving, and finally making one… I think I can see what all the fuss is about.
It’s just so simple and streamlined and does everything I want WP to do without the whole bulk and hassle. Another big selling point, is how easy it is to update via my cell phone. There’s no easy WP app out there that allows me to post photo/video/links with a few taps. I think that by changing over to tumblr I’d find my self updating more frequently. As opposed to right now where I have a long list of drafts and no time to write anything. Sometimes the only spare moment I have is when I’m waiting for my coffee at 2% Jazz. Work has been way too busy lately to blog in between tasks, (not that I should have been doing that anyways!!), and my off time has been spent crocheting like mad in preparation for the Fall season.
I’m also looking to cut down on the number of blogs I have. I hate thinking that my blogs will become another tombstone among the many graves of internet blogging.. so it looks like I’m going to have to transform. As Richard Bach said, “What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.”
I like that I can use my domain name, but that means dealing with Canaca again, and that’s a headache waiting to happen. So we’ll see! I also haven’t played around with customization and CSS. I always like to put my own little flare on things, so that is also to be seen. Lot’s of things to think about…
Is anyone else shocked and appalled that it’s already September? Where has the year gone? This was supposed to be my year. When I turned 27 I felt like it was a crazy year of change, and perhaps I’m being a little hard on myself. Andy and I did move in together and buy/renovate a home, and I’ve gone through my own dramatic changes in terms of how I view the world. But in regards to my debt, I had hoped to be more successful with my creative talents and capitalize on them. I wanted to have oodles and oodles of goods ready to go for this Fall season. But alas, there is just never enough time. The best part about September so far is calendar picture for this month.
